Ecos da Mata

Ecos da Mata is a top-down action-rpg game about preservation, colonialism and folklore. The story takes place in a fantasy setting inspired by Brazilian history and folklore, taking on its themes and characters.

Play as Aiyra, a young witch who lives near the Snoring Woods: a mysterious place, home to a great number of creatures and mythical beings. The forest is located near Beira-Mata, a small town populated by all kinds of different people. The forest is dying and it's creatures are being controlled by a strange force, bringing chaos to the once prosperous and calm region. Aiyra must find a way to save the inhabitants of Beira Mata and bring balance to it's ecosystem, finding peculiar friends and facing powerful foes as she tries to uncover the mysteries that shroud the region and it's history.

Fight the Corrupted Wildlife and Save it from the Curse:

During your adventure, Aiyra will face many animals corrupted by the curse, each of them with their own unique set of combat skills inspired by their species. Make use of your available resources to defeat them: Alternate between your machete for close combat and your magic staff to deal with far away enemies. Don´t forget to dodge attacks by using your dash technique, essential to survive the intense battles.

After defeating your foes, use the healing ritual to release the animals from the curse, returning them to their original state. However, be careful! Airya will be vulnerable during the ritual, making her an easy target to the attacks of other enemies.

Explore the Snoring Woods and Unravel the Rainforest Secrets:

Adventure through the rainforest and explore the many areas within it, each one with their own set of enemies and unique mechanics. Find new abilities that not only expand the number of options available in combat, but also allow you to explore new areas previously inaccessible to Aiyra.

Clash with Brazilian Folklore Creatures in Epic Boss Battles:

Each area of the Rainforest is inhabited by creatures from Brazilian folklore that are also corrupted by the curse. Face and defeat them in epic battles to be able to free them from the curse using Aiyra’s healing ritual, allowing them to return to their role as protectors of the rainforest, bringing harmony back to it.
