A Hauntingly Gripping Narrative: SURANGAMA's vision of Diyu, a twisted malformation of Kowloon walled city and Hong Kong's neon-soaked back alleys hides a realm of secrets buried in ash. To escape Diyu, the weight of that which binds you must be removed. Inspired by the Surangama Sutras, Chinese-Buddhist traditions, and Cantonese folklore; SURANGAMA is a horrifying psychological journey through the chaotic path that awaits us all. 

Brutally Fast Paced Combat: You must fight your way through the hordes of Ngoh Gwai, starving imprisoned souls.  Battle the powerful jailers, wardens, and rulers of Diyu and survive the demonic abominations searching for souls to torment. Inspired by Ninja Gaiden and Onimusha, you are tasked with skillful performance over skill point allocation. When enemy numbers don't overwhelm you, crushing boss battles will. 

This is no souls-like, you can not grind past your challenges. 

Solve Puzzles: Use your wits and Spirit Mirror to reveal hidden paths, solve complex puzzles and discover both the truth which illuminates the path forward.

Survival Horror X Character Action: While mastering the aggressive combat, you must also carefully manage your inventory and resources in order to survive the onslaught of tormented denizens of Diyu. Weigh the risk and reward of life threatening combat encounters to ensure you are properly equipped for oppressive boss battles.
